The work of School District No. 53 (Okanagan Similkameen is guided by its Strategic Plan. We seek input and feedback on budget priorities from our rightsholder/stakeholder/other partner groups.


The District's budget is based on these principles:

  • Maximizing allocation of resources to support the goals of the Strategic Plan
  • Building an understanding of budget information through ongoing communication
  • Maintaining sufficient reserve/surplus balance to respond to emergent needs
  • Maintaining strong fiscal management polices & practice
